The Centre for the Study of Religion and Politics (CSRP) had a wonderful and successful reunion of alumni, fellows and current researchers of the CSRP this weekend past as part of the 20th anniversary CSRP colloquium. Meeting at St Mary’s College on Saturday, we enjoyed remarks, research updates and discussions from the director of the CSRP, Professor Mario I. Aguilar, and others throughout the day, with the 2024 Religion and Politics Lecture given by Dr Kate Kirkpatrick of Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford as one of the key highlights of the colloquium.

On Sunday, several members of the CSRP gathered for breakfast and at the University chapel, where the CSRP’s 20th anniversary received an honour mention and the apostolic nuncio Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendia preached at the chapel service. This was followed by a brunch of several members who discussed preliminary plans for a future CSRP conference in St Andrews.
